Traffic Jam

Some ten years ago, I have urged some residents to get together to do something about the traffic condition. I predicted that, with the number of projects being developed in Wangsa Permai, KIP and Aman Puri, there would be a huge traffic jam.

This is happening every morning and evening. I am aware that the Local Councillor has proposed some improvement to the junction at Jalan Desa Aman and Jalan Wangsa Utama. However, work has not been done yet.

There are also proposals to install streetlights at the KIP junction turning into Jalan Industri Sri Damansara, which the Local Councillor for Sri Damansara, Chan Chee Kong has proposed. However, work has yet to be started.

If you are one of those concerned with the traffic condition here in Wangsa Permai, please post your email address here. I hope to arrange a press interview to get the media to highlight your complaints. I cannot always be the one doing the work.

Illegal dump

Illegal dumps have started appearing again in Wangsa Permai.

Residents have to realize that Alam Flora collects the "big items" at least once a week.

I once had a large fish aquarium, which I did not know how to dispose of. When I enquired with Alam Flora's supervisor, En Zakwan, he told me to provide him with the address. All I had to do was to move the aquarium in front of my house. When his men came to take the "big items" (usually in a tipper truck), they just removed it. I asked if there was a fee that I had to pay. To my surprise, it was free!

And that was some time in October last year. After several months, I am still trying to give En Zakwan and his men for a good job done.

So, fellow residents, you too can cooperate with Alam Flora by putting your big items in front of your house - and inform them that you would like them removed. You don't need to dump it on someone else's area, please, and bring down the prices of property here!

ALAM FLORA: Rubbish trap doors

These pictures show that Alam Flora contractors have forgotten what residents hope they will do. We have raised this matter to En Zakwan of Alam Flora, to request his assistance to ensure that the contractors do a good job by closing the rubbish trap doors after removing the garbage. The complaint has been made a year or two before, and things improved for a while, but lately, it is happening again.

By the way, here is the email reply and I can only say -- my complaint has turned into a bouquet of roses for Alam Flora folks:

Hi En Zakwan,

I think from time to time, we need to keep your men on their toes. Here are some pictures taken just from Jalan Wangsa 1/1. Hope you can do something about it.

Cheers

Stephen

UNDI PAS

The reason I am writing this is because, like many other Chinese and Indians in this country, I am pissed off with Umno. Find out why ...

Taman Wangsa Permai is in the state constituency of Paya Jeras, which is a stronghold of Umno. For many years, the Chinese voters have given their support to Umno, only to find that Umno and its publication, Utusan Melayu, continue to harp on Ketuanan Melayu, China Pendatang, India Keling and so on. People like Ahmad Ismail who called the Chinese and the Indians To read more:
